As an oil landscape painter, Nina Preheim looks at the world, striving to see its beauty, color, spatial relationships, and a sense of place.  She grew up on a farm in SD, and has been painting most of her life.  The places she goes come from a love of the earth and its beauty. Nina feels a compulsion to visually describe how this viewpoint connects to the places with which she is passing through.  We all have a connection to this world, but unless we are engaged in that interchange; we may miss realizing how much we are impacted by changes that are happening daily. 

   Have we slowed down to really seeing the beauty, the color, and our relationship to the home that we call earth?  The paintings which Nina paints are all short moments in the time she has been given on this planet, and are shared with you because of her love of the natural world.  Whether it’s a little lamb on the farm, or a magical Lake Superior sunset, Nina feels lucky to have such a magical place to call home.
